Take Nine Months to Change Your Life Forever
The Ski to Sea GAP year Program is designed to provide a nine month learning experience at two colleges on the west coast of the United States. Students travel the west coast of North America from Vancouver, Canada to San Diego, California during their stays at Green River and Santa Barbara Community Colleges. The program allows students to design a study program to fit their individual needs.
Highlights of the program include:
- Living in Campus Housing
- Opportunity for participation in over 70 campus activities
- Organized trips to see West Coast attractions
- California in the winter
- Career discovery programs
- Sample academic classes
A Gap Year Study Abroad opens individuals to a wider world and new perspectives. It changes lives!
Benefits
- Flexibility
Since most Gap Year students are not here for degrees or other academic purposes, they can audit their classes. This means you can be enrolled in a class like a normal student would be, but without receiving a grade for it.
- Design your own program
Since Ski to Sea students do not study towards a specific degree or certificate, they are free to take whatever classes they want. Whether you take advantage of this by taking classes in the fields you’re interested in or by exploring new subjects you’ve never learned about before, this is sure to make your time here fun and interesting.
